touchy touch phones summary

How do touch phones work? The phone Has a clear panel with a touch responsive surface.
The touch sensor covers the video screen. The sensor sends an electrical signal
This signal determines the location of the touch. Also a definition of a touch screen is that Multi-touch is a method of input on a touch screen that allows two or more fingers to be used on the screen at one time. Multi-touch is something typically associated with capacitive touch screen displays rather than with more common resistive touch screen displays that picks up 1 touch at a time. I think that that is cool. Do you? Please comment if you do.

  1. Nice posting on the touch screens. You have a good introductory question that leads into some of your information. It would be nice to see more about what came before and what will be coming next.

Apple has a big launch of some mysterious product, likely in a month or two -- do you think it will have anything like iTouch/iPhone items?
